LED Mini Link-Light

Q: I already have a dimmer on my wall for my under cabinet lights - can I use your mini link on this dimmer? It is an LED dimmer and my electrician has told me this is best for dimming LED's.

A: No, unfortunately, you can't dim the mini link in this way as the driver isn't dimmable. However, you can purchase the Mini Link-Light dimmable switch (part number 5020) which replaces the standard on/off that it came supplied with. This will give you the dimming option you require.

Q: I have installed your LED Mini Link-Light but a section does not work. I have the power going into item 4917 going up the wall and then the same item again going right off this joined by one of your two-way connectors but the one going right will not light up… is it faulty? I have tried swapping both pieces over by the power point but both independently light up…

A: You have bought the incorrect two-way connector as there are two connectors available - left or right. They are designed to only work in the direction indicated. Swap your connector for the other direction and it should work.

Q: I have initially bought a 36W driver before deciding how long of a run mini-link I needed. I need 2x 30cm (2x 5W), 1x 60cm (9W) and finally 1x 100cm (15W). Will this work on the 36W driver?

A: Yes, the total wattage of mini-link is 34W (5W + 5W + 9W + 10W) - this does not exceed the output of the driver which is 36W.
