A Glowing Partnership - Crompton Lamps Lighting Leeds Minster with LEDs

Crompton Lamps Ltd. have donated over 350 high quality LED lamps to Leeds Minster, helping one of England's best-loved Parish Churches continue to be a beacon of light for Leeds.

These LED lights will immeasurably improve the overall energy and cost savings at the Minster where lighting the entire interior of the church and illuminating the exterior of this grand building at night has been an increasing cost.

The donation from Crompton Lamps will also mean that Leeds Minster will have their illuminated clock face reinstated to shine over the city for the first time in more than 2 years.

The overall energy and monetary savings of LED lights for Leeds Minster will mean a great deal for the local community and the environment. Since each LED light bulb has a lifespan of up to 15 years, this reduces costs as the lights do not need to be changed as often and as the lights inside the Minster are illuminated every day, to support their policy of always being open and welcome to all visitors to the church, this is a key benefit. The Minster is also occasionally lit within at night for special events, occasions of worship and memorable commemorations.

With the Minster relying solely on kind donations, the savings generated by the new LED lights will lend assistance to Leeds Minsters' support of their many local, national and international services, projects and charitable contributions.

Leeds Minster now has an even brighter future ahead thanks to Crompton Lamps.
